Spokes Auctioneers’ Vision

Our vision is to fill the void in the auction industry and create an environment where bidding at auction is available to all South Africans through a professionally operated platform. Our professional team, led by our Director, Mr. Spokes himself, prides ourselves on running one of the few black owned auction houses in South Africa with unwavering integrity and honesty to ensure we deliver only the highest level of service to all clients at all times.

  • Mr Siponono Phillip Shange

    Mr Shange is a qualified Auctioneer with a Diploma in Auctioneering from S.A College of Auctioneering; he is also the Marketing Manager of the organisation.

    His qualifications also include:

    • Advanced Marketing Diploma from Colonial Mutual
    • Certificate in Communication from UKZN
    • Certificate in Business Management from UKZN
    • Certificate in Mining and Public Development Management from Wits University
    • USSAID Certificate in Project Management
    • USSAID Certificate in Financial Sustainability
    • Executive Leadership Development Program from Wharton School of Business in the USA
    • Ring-man certificate from the Professional Ringmen’s Institute (PRI) in the USA
  • Ms Londiwe Cele
    Chief Operating Officer

    Londiwe has been employed by Spokes Auctioneers since its establishment. She is a qualified auctioneer who holds a Diploma in Auctioneering from S.A college of Auctioneering. At the company she heads the administration and finance department. Londiwe also acts as a liaison to old and new clients and ensures the daily office operations run smoothly.

    She is responsible for the company financials, i.e. payments, wages & salaries, invoicing, debtor’s & creditor’s accounts.  Her qualification also includes:

    • Diploma in Public Management from the UFET
    • Certificate in Introduction to Bookkeeping from Varsity College
    • Certificate in Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers from University of Pretoria
  • Mr Sphamandla Mtheku
    Finance Clerk

    Sphamandla’s responsibilities include:

    • To Provide Full Finance support
    • Consolidation of quarterly and annual financial reports (Income& Expenditure)
    • Determine and reconcile income and expenditure for each auction
    • Vat return file compilation& administration
    • Assist with preps for Financial year ends at the end of February
    • Verify payments with the bank statements to identify cash, cheques& eft payments
    • Petty cash handling and monthly reconciliation
    • Auction cost management and reconciliation for each auction
  • Mr Nkosinathi Ernest Khoza

    Mr Ernest Khoza, who is a Qualified Appraiser with more than 15 years of experience does all the valuations and appraisals for Spokes Auctioneers. This involves Evaluation of Motor vehicles, Plant and Equipment, general moveable assets and Immoveable Property. Mr Khoza is the associate of the company so he is engaged with the company on a regular and as required basis.

  • Mr Nkanyiso Dlangisa
    Operation Coordinator

    Nkanyiso’s responsibilities include:

    • Responsible for auction site management and co-ordination
    • Ensure readiness of stock to be disposed in terms of cleanliness
    • See to arrangement and proper lotting of stock for auction
    • Responsible for all the company cars, i.e. maintenance, wear and tear records, license renewals, traffic tickets management, movement of vehicles, tracker management, etc.
    • Ensure that lotting is in line with the buyer’s guide
    • Responsible for price capturing of the auction proceedings and ensuring accuracy of the records
    • Ensure that the PA system and other auction equipment are always up to standard and ready to be utilised
    • Ensure proper erection of banners and signs boards at strategic points
    • Oversee to site inspections/  tender briefings as and when required
    • Dispatching of stock and deregistration certificates of auto mobiles
  • Mr Potlako Seleoane
    Admin & Operations Coordinator

    Potlako’s responsibilities include:

    • Provide guidance to admin staff.
    • Staff Supervision& Management
    • Maintain close supervision on the daily functions of the admin staff, ensuring productivity and checking the quality of the output.
    • Maintain close supervision to all employees in the administration department.
    • Conduct assessment and evaluation regarding performance of Administration Staff
    • Maintain an effective medium of communication and close collaboration among the staff within the organisation
  • Ms Nana Khuzwayo
    Admin Assistant

    Nana’s responsibilities include:

    • Responsible for proper arrangement and preparations of all upcoming auctions
    • Ensure timely preparation of catalogues& refund processing
    • Prepare an accurate budget for each auction& submit to client for approval
    • Manage advert cuts for each publication
    • Manage the advertising spread sheet to better track& reconcile adverts placed for each month
    • Liaise with clients from different institutions to chart way forward on the auction preparations
    • Drafting and placement of advert in relevant print Medias& sign off advert placements
    • Proper disbursement of bulk SMSes& emails to clients
    • Ensure efficiency on settlement of auction accounts
